Incredibly good. I am a poet myself and am glad to see people posting them here. I was told this platform prefers prose. And so I didn't post mine here.
Thanks for the encouragement. I have actually tried to do something different. I am building posts around the theme of my poems and posting them together in Substack. Hope people like them.
This is hauntingly beautiful soft, mysterious, and quietly powerful. That line “born from an impatient hush” lingers. She feels like both a secret and a prayer.
Genius. As always.
Thanks Faceless🙏

This is beautiful writing, Cass! Thank you. <3
Really appreciate it Rea! But I should be the one thanking you❤️
No! You write so beautiful about us women, Cass. <3 <3
That means so much to hear, Rea.
I try to write the way I listen with reverence for what’s often left unsaid.
If the words made you feel seen, then they did what they came here to do.
Thank you for holding them so gently ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful…
thank you Jane!! Really happy you liked this poem :)

I’m so happy you enjoyed iy
i knew her. i was her. the girl the moon forgot to name once built herself a home on a hill no one else could see.
i wrote a poem years ago about that real place, where silence held me when no one else did.
reading this felt like being remembered in a language i thought i’d made up.
for the girl the moon forgot to name… this is where i hid ↓ 🌒
the hill that held me.
at fourteen years, and even more,
i left my thoughts at village door.
i took my bike with pink and grace,
and found myself a hidden place.
no human foot had touched that land,
no reaching voice, no helping hand.
i think, perhaps, i searched the skies
for some soft face, for kinder eyes.
the stars looked down but did not speak,
the wind just kissed my tear-stained cheek.
i wasn’t lost, not quite, not yet,
but every step felt soaked in debt.
i rode away from noise and name,
from whispers filled with quiet shame.
i found my hill, my resting bed,
where all the words stayed in my head.
and though i hoped for someone’s light,
for arms to hold me through the night,
i sat alone, with breath held tight,
and made my peace with being slight.
i carved a space, i made it mine,
a secret spot where stars could shine.
no one had been there, none had known,
that i had turned my ache to stone.
but oh, that stone was soft and deep,
it held the dreams i couldn’t keep.
and on that hill, i laid them bare
my heart, my thoughts, my silent prayer.
so maybe, yes, i looked above,
for something close to human love.
but when no hand reached out to stay,
i held myself and stayed that way.
Is this a poem you had already posted on your page? Thanks for sharing this with me Mira? The last lines hit extremely close to home😭
You have such a gift with words. Always brilliant.
Thanks Thomas! Just a knack for coming up with bizarre metaphors
No. You have some magic. Just a knack, is maybe just to say an ocean is just a bunch of water n salt.
Wow that’s such an amazing compliment in the form of a metaphor! I can’t even argue with that😂
Thank you Thomas 🙏🙏
Loved this one, tell your pen to keep flowing it’s orbiting hearts already 🤩
haha I will tell him, Hema
I will give space for this, my friend when I have the time to devote my full, uninterrupted heart and attention.
thanks Dawn! I think you will enjoy it when you do
